First Year of College COMPLETE!

Hello Peeps!

Long time no see!!

Yes my first year of college is complete! It was a whirlwind I must say.  My first semester of college was fun and full of new experiences.  I made a lot of new friends and a few really close ones.  I have to admit going to a college was weird, no parents, had to make new friends, learning how to go off campus without a car, and manage your food plan and debit.  It's a lot of responsible for a new young adult.  Some of my friends used all there debit in the first 3-6 weeks.  Yikes!  So they had nothing until either their parents put more money on it or their friends paid for them which often I did for them.

I am hard of hearing as some of you might know and some of you might not know, but I am.  I enjoy being hard of hearing, I went to a college that had both a hearing and deaf population.  It was awesome.  I could sign to those who are deaf/hard of hearing and I could talk to those who talked.  Mostly I stuck with the deaf/hard of hearing population.  My friends are mostly deaf and hard of hearing.

I focused a lot on my school work, sometimes I would kick out my roommate and our friends out so I could study and focus better.  They respected me for that so they left or didn't come in.  My roommate and I grew up together since we were in kindergarten and we didn't argue a lot which is good.  She knows how important school is for me.  My first semester grades were A's and B's and for my second semester they were also A's and B's.  So for my GPA I got 3.4-3.5 overall.  Which I am very proud of.

As of right now I am in between majors.  I am in Applied Computer Technology right now but I am looking at Web and Mobile Computing.  The difference between them is Applied Computer Technology is more hands on with the network and creating a computer, and for Web and Mobile Computing is more codes and creating websites.  Next fall I will be in my original major which is Applied Computer Technology but I will be taking some classes of Web and Mobile Computing to see if I like it.  I will be taking half and half next semester.  I am so excited I can't wait.

I joined Tech Crew at college.  I did it in high school and I am continuing it into college.  I love Tech Crew so much, it's the one place that makes me happy to go.  This year we did Tribes, Godspell, and Sherlock Holmes the Crucifer of Blood.  The technology in there was so different from college, like the telex wasn't even a telex it was video chat because we are all deaf on the crew so we can't hear through the telex so its easier to video chat to people.  We all had different colors.  Like since I'm on backstage left we were color yellow, the right was orange, booth was purple(backstage manager), green(projections) and blue(lights).  For the sound guy he was on his own cause he could hear and couldn't sign so all he had to do were the sound affects and the voice actors.

I did miss home a lot when I was at college, especially my cat.  I love my cat he is so goofy and silly and I love him.  My mom would FaceTime me and show me him when I was having a stressful day or had a lot of work to do.  Now that I've been home for a few weeks now I just want to go back to college.  I am currently looking for a job because college isn't cheap.  Plus, I am super bored.  I go for bike rides, skateboard, trying to read a book, and so much more but its no fun when friends live so far away.  I still see Anna once in a while, she is always busy doing something.  We do hang out on weekends though.

I will be going a lot of places this summer with our camper and my friends and family.  I will be taking lots of pictures and be blogging and Instagraming(@nerdybeautifulunique) and Snapchatting(Katiecrazy3).  Go follow me on those and see what I am up to.

This was a lengthy one.  I just wanted to have a chat with you all since I haven't in a really long time.  Hope you don't mind.
Hope you enjoyed!! :)

Music Favorites

Hello Peeps!!

These last couple of weeks I've been listening to a lot of music.  Some new and some old.  It depends on the mood I'm in.

But I have been listening to these people on repeat.

What have you been listening to lately?  Any songs relate to your life right now?  Leave a comment.

Enjoy the music if you haven't heard of them before.

Going back to College!

Hello peeps!!

Going back to college and don't know what to pack?  Well, I have some tips and tricks to help you figure out what to pack and the easiest method to bring it back to campus.

First, you need clothes!
I recommend that you only bring 1/2 or 1/3 of your clothes back to college that is if you brought all your clothes home from college.  The easiest way to pack your clothes is to pack them in the laundry basket, bin, or hamper that you are using for laundry when your in college.  That way it's less of a hassle to bring back and forth to college because a suitcase can get in the way at college but if you take a plane or train to get back to college than it will be easier and nicer to pack.

Second thing is definitely food.
FOOD is a definite must for college living.  I have a refrigerator in my room which I share with my roommate.  We share it half and half.  I buy water for myself, and other drinks for myself.  She does the same for her self.  For the food we have different storage setups, she uses drawers and bins and I have shelves.  So for food, I usually get Mac and Cheese, Gold Fish, and snacks from BJ's.  You maybe asking since your a freshman don't you have a meal plan or something?  To answer the question yes, I do have a meal plan and yes I do use it.  The food in my room is emergency food like if I'm to lazy or if I am sick.  Mostly I'm just to lazy so I don't have to walk far.  Plus I'm rarely sick.  So just get food that you know you will eat.  Also try to get the health food and drinks don't get food that will make you feel like absolute crap.  That's what I did my first semester and I hated it.  So i have some healthier alternatives.

Thirdly is toiletries.
For toiletries for girls only bring makeup that you will always wear and whether it's the same look everyday or different looks with one palette.  Like I always use the same two eye shadow palettes and the same eyeliners and the same mascara.  I keep my looks simple and not hard.  So just try and narrow it down to your favorites and things you will use everyday and won't get sick of it.  Makeup wipes or makeup remover is obvious to bring.  Laundry detergent or laundry soap to clean your clothes.  Deodorant and perfume is important so you don't stink.  Face wash and face mask to do with friends are always fun.

Hope you enjoyed this post.  Those are the top three things I could think of for packing things to college.  I think I will be doing more college post than beauty post.  If your interested in seeing my everyday makeup leave a comment and let me know.  In college I usually stick to one makeup look.

If I missed something leave a comment.  How do you pack things back to college?  What do you pack for back to college?

College Winter Break

Hello Peeps!!

Yes its been awhile since I last posted, but I'm back.  This winter break has been so boring.  I seriously just want to go back to college already.  Some of my friends feel the same way.

For my 2015 New Year's Resolutions, I did some of them.  Like I made more friends, I went to the gym at the end of 2015 and I am continuing that into 2016, I went to Canada but not Toronto it was fun either way but that is still on my list of goals, I started doing my own laundry when I went to college, and lastly I did drink a lot of water this year and I have noticed a huge difference in my body and skin.

2016 Resolutions Goals:
  • I want to try and write once a week on here
  • Go to the gym more
  • Travel more
  • Take a day off of technology(will be hard especially in college)
  • Drink more water
  • Get another job(on campus or in the summer)
  • Start eating healthier

Those are my GOALS, I'm no longer calling them resolutions.  They are goals whether it happens next month or in five months, I am so determined.

So what are some of your goals? Leave it in the comments and I will reply to them.
